In the first lecture I will be talking about how D1-brane probes D5-brane within type I string theory and relation of all this to the ADHM construction : we will take care only of gauge fields due to D5-brane and forget about gravity fields. Then(if time allows in the first lecture) I Will be talking how D1-brane probes D9-anti-D9-brane annihilation within type I string theory and relation of all this to ADHM construction as well. This will be about D-brane microscopic description of YM instantons. In the second lecture I will be talking about how D1-brane (D1-instanton) probes D5-brane(D3-brane) in tye IIB string theory. This time I will take care about another terms in the theory on the probe and will discuss how D-branes give microscopic description of gravity solitons. |
